Visiting Auschwitz-Birkenau is one of the most important things you can do while in Poland. The Auschwitz-Birkenau Memorial and Museum — a UNESCO World Heritage Site — stands as the most powerful reminder of the Holocaust and the crimes of the Nazi German occupation, and seeing it with a licensed guide is the most meaningful way to understand what happened there. Both Auschwitz I and Auschwitz II-Birkenau are included in every visit, giving you a complete picture of one of history’s darkest chapters.
We offer two ways to get there from Warsaw — by train via Krakow, or by private car directly from your hotel. Both options include a licensed guide and skip-the-line entry. Choose whichever works best for your schedule and budget.
Please book as early as possible — entrance tickets and licensed guides at Auschwitz-Birkenau are in high demand and availability fills quickly, particularly during peak season.
Option 1 — By Train via Krakow
The most affordable option and a great choice for those happy to travel by train. The journey begins at Warsaw Central Railway Station at 6:00 AM with a comfortable two-and-a-half-hour express ride to Krakow. On arrival, the Auschwitz group tour departure point is just a five-minute walk from the station — easy to find with the detailed map and instructions sent to you by email in advance. After the museum visit, you return to Krakow by bus and have free time to explore the city at your own pace before catching the evening return train to Warsaw. If you prefer door-to-door service, a hotel pick-up and drop-off in Warsaw can be added for an additional 200 PLN per booking.

Option 2 — By Private Car Directly from Warsaw
The more flexible option — your private air-conditioned vehicle collects you from your Warsaw hotel and takes you directly to Auschwitz-Birkenau and back, with no trains, buses, or walking between connections to manage. The drive takes approximately four and a half hours each way. A licensed local guide leads the tour inside both camps for up to three and a half hours, after which there is an hour of free time for lunch before the return journey to Warsaw. The price per person decreases significantly as group size grows, making this excellent value for families and groups of three or more.
